pictures

So next week we are going to the beach with the entire Rutter family. I am excited for many reasons however I am most excited because Danielle is going to take pictures of Savannah. I tried taking some of her today just to get a few and well lets just say this is not my specialty. Not even 1 came out right. Danielle will do much better I am 100% sure.

Monday we took Savannah to meet Granny Ickes. She was so excited to meet Savannah she enjoyed holding and looking at her.

pool

The pool finally got out of the 70s, it only lasted one day and it was 80 so it barley made it out of the 70s. But the kids had fun and it happened to be one of the weeks that Rob had off so everyone but me was able to enjoy the pool.

State College

He really didn't like this pose
This past weekend we too the family to State College to walk around and to see the "Lion". Austin is already brain washed, he calls it daddy's college and he does ask us on a regular basis to go visit. When we got to the lion, there was a tour going on of about 100+ girls Rob had to go ask if they kids could have a turn which of course they took a break for them. But because the girls were around and looking at Austin he froze and started to pout. You can't tell by the pictures but he was very excited to sit on the lion and even asked to go back at the end of the day.

2 Week check up

Savannah had her two week check up today it was also the 1st time out by myself with the 3 kids. The big concern for me was the apt. was at 830am. In our house we don't normally get up until 830 so I had to get up early and wake everyone else up as well. All in all it went pretty well, everyone will be napping today though. Savannah has put on a good amount of weight she left the hospital at 8lbs 4 oz and now checks in at 9lbs 8oz!! Success!!

Savannah 1 week old

So Savannah is one week old. She is fitting in just fine. Valerie has changed a few diapers and she does a good job, she loves to hold her and give her kisses. Austin did help wipe her bottom today which I don't think he liked, he makes sure he tells me she is hungry when she cries that I need to feed her. He likes to hold her and makes sure everyone knows that she is his baby.

She is not a bad sleeper at this point either. She wakes up about every 4 hours at night and if she dosent I wake her up to eat.

Savannah's 1st bath

Austin waiting to wash the soap off Savannah

I must say there is less crying this way, she loved being in the water. Is that any surprise??

Its amazing how much changes for babies. When Valerie and Austin were born you were not allowed to give them baths until the umbilical cord fell off. But now they say to go ahead and submerge them in water they find more problems regulating temp by giving them sponge baths that they prefer them to be completely in the water. Austin was of course there being a very helpful big brother.

Baby on the way

It is 440am and we are off to have the baby!! Valerie is pretty excited as well as Austin but I don't think he really knows what he is excited for. Valerie made a shirt and Austin is excited to wear his painted shirt and as of yesterday can't wait to share his snow cone with Baby Savannah.
