fury friend

Since our house is pretty close to the woods we get to see lots of wild life. Some are animals everyone gets to see like deer, many many rabbits and lots of birds. Some other animals we have seen in the past are bears, porcupine, and wild turkeys. We have even had house guest like bats snakes and owls.

Here is a picture of our latest guest, we are not sure but we think it is a fisher cat. He was a cute little guy. A baby maybe a few days old.

Teacher gifts

Austin made his teachers gifts for the end of the year. If you would like to check him out visit here, I just didn't want to re-blog it.

1st year under his belt

Today Austin had his carnival, which marks the end of the school year. I can't believe he has just completed his 1st year of school. Time goes by so fast! I took the camera, but left it in the car and it started raining, so I didn't go get it.

It was really neat to see him with his little buddies and to see how much he has grown.

Next year he goes 5 days a week in the morning.

We are so proud of our little man.

swimming

Since we joined the gym again I thought I would take advantage of the pool with the kids. I wanted to see how comfortable Austin really was in the water. I really was not sure how it would compare to the hot tub but he does really well. At first he wanted his vest on, but within a few minutes he was ready to have it off. We can't wait Daddy is opening the pool this weekend!

9 month check up

Last week Savannah had her 9 month check up. No problems to speak of (which we knew). The doctor probably was not happy with me...she woke up from her nap right as we were getting ready to leave so she had not had lunch. So I stopped at McDonald's to get her a cheese burger (which she eats the entire thing). We usually wait a good while for the doctor so I though she would be done with it before he came in, but I was wrong he came right in as she was eating her burger. He is big on eating right, only 3 meals, no juice 1 oz of milk after each meal and that's it.

Any way here are her stat's (no shots this time)

head 18 95% (all of my kids have big heads)
height 26.98 50%
weight 21.9 oz 90%

many new post

I do have many new post coming. It has been hard to post lately, I usually do it on the weekends or at night after the kids go to bed. However Rob needs the computer a lot right now due to his course right now (his book is on line). When I do get the computer it is after 11 (it is 1120) and I am ready for bed. It doesn't help that with the nice weather we are outside most of the day. So I am shooting for some updates starting tomorrow (Rob has class so the computer is all mine until 10).

As a side note: Austin wanted me to tell Aunt Mel that we finally upgraded from cardboard bases and got real ones today. He was pretty excited!

Like a bird

Savannah has had her own thoughts and ways when it comes to sleep since the day she was born. She has always needed to be on her belly, have a blanket, has sporadic naps, and even though we are close she still doesn't sleep through the night (wakes up around 6a, then most of the time back to bed until 730-8a).

Something that I find funny is...when she wakes up in the middle of the night (sometimes, not every night) crying, if I go into her room and put the blanket over her head, she stops and goes back to sleep, just like a bird.

It's been a while

It has been a little since my last update.

It has been a little over whelming here in the past week/2 weeks. Rob was away in Reno for work (and a little play), work, and training for the 1/2 marathon has started. Not to mention the little tykes.

Austin has been enjoying the weather. We are, or should I say were outside all day until about 8p. Bike riding, playing on the swing set and trampoline. Do you believe we had snow yesterday? It didn't stick but still snow in May??

Savannah is growing right along... Waving, standing on her own, 5 teeth with 1 on the way. She even started to give high 5's.

For mothers day we went to the Zoo. Everyone had fun. But we forgot the camera so maybe Aunt Mel could send us some pictures.

That's all for now

Pulling up

Savannah is moving right along in her developments. Last week she started to pull her self up. It started out where she would get herself on her knees, then by the end of the week she was on her feet. I can't believe she is to this point already how exciting right??? Until bed time came and she pulled herself up on the side of her crib, but could not get herself back down!! so bed time has been a bit of a challenge lately, but I wouldn't expect anything else.

On a different note. Austin has been trying to play with Savannah lately. Asking can she come on the floor now? Do you want to play sweetie? But making sure that she only has the toys he thinks she should have. It's fun to watch, she just follows him around laughing and giggling at him.
