What's new

So It has been a while since we last posted. It was a good thing Aunt Kim was posting or the blog would have really been abandoned. I will just do a little catch up and I hope to have some video up tomorrow.

Valerie has been home since Tuesday, it is nice to have her back. We think, well pretty sure she is home to stay. She has been a big help this week, and has been wanting to craft with me. She is just like a teen (I think anyway). I have to tell her to put the phone down...she is constantly texting. She wasn't home for 10 minutes and was asking to go visit friends. And she is really into making money and is starting to understand about the cost of things. She even asked me to start taking half of her money and putting it in the bank and she will keep the other half to use as she wishes.

Savannah is growing so much everyday, it is hard to keep up. She now shakes her head yes and no, says otoh (is that spelled right) and I am pretty sure Mama, when I walked into the room the other day she looked up and said Mama. She signs, more, all done, cup and just today she signed thank you, it was only 1 time but I am really impressed! She got 2 strollers for her birthday, we put 1 away and put the other 1 together and she has been walking all around the house with it. I really think she means to. She will go find it, pull her self up and go where she wants to go. It is so fun to watch her. She is in utter amazement with Austin and Valerie.

Austin just finished his first season of t-ball. He did really well. His last game was such a big difference from his first game. No whining, instead he would dive for the ball to make sure he got one. He ended up with about 2 balls a game. He is now swimming without a vest, jumping in the pool w/o a vest. And he is getting much better with time. He will say last year instead of last night. He is really excited to go to the beach. He is now asking me for decorations for his party. What a monster I created.

First T-ball game

Austin had his first T-ball game last night. He did really well. I was so proud of him. He was getting a little upset, because every time he went to get the ball somebody bigger beat him to it. In practice he is use to getting the ball, because there are only 10 kids on the team and half are batting and half are fielding. Lets hope tonight he can get a ball. At least he is going after the ball! Daddy was more nervous than Austin was.

The field was big, they had speakers calling their names, score board and a consesion stand

right before the game started. tonight i am going to sit in the outfield in hopes of better pictures.

I re-sized a team shirt and Savannah cheered them on (kinda)

A new milestone

Daddy is the one with a new milestone. He made it almost a year without leaving the house with both kids and no mommy.

Austin had t-ball practice today but I needed to sleep since I worked last night and then worked tonight. So Daddy had no choice but to take both kids. I think it was uneventful. I believe he was a little sad because Rob has become an un-official assistant coach for Austin's team. So he was unable to help with the team today.

But everyone came back in one piece...I wonder if he will do it more often now?

swollen eye

After 1 warm compress...

In the morning Austin usually comes to get me, to let me know he is up. This morning he was screaming and crying when he got up. I took one look at him and saw a swollen black and blue eye. I saw him rubbing his eye and said he fixed it he got the eye boogies out.

I am assuming it is from maybe a spider bit...this is how Valerie reacts when she is bitten by anything, a misquote, bee, spiders, she just balloons right up. I though maybe a stie but he said it doesn't hurt.

Chipmunk visiting

Today our visitor was a Chipmunk on the back porch. We had one visit us a few weeks ago and I didn't get a picture. This time I got one on my phone and when I went to get my camera for a better picture he was gone when I got back.

I just saw it again maybe I will get a better picture

yup here it is, trying to get out

Is it a 3rd child thing?

So to my surprise Rob didn't like the post...I was just posting how I felt that moment and the past few days. I was having a bad "mommy day". Of course we do everything we can to keep all our kids safe and happy. I know all kids get bumps and bruises, I just felt Savannah was getting them non stop recently and it was taking a toll on her and me.

So I told Rob I would remove the post.

Motorcycle ride

Today when Austin was riding his motorcycle it seemed as though Savannah wanted a turn, so we gave her one...and she loved it. Austin was trying to get her to sign "all done" so we would take her off and he could go faster. But he really was a good sport, he took her around several times while I was running at the side to make sure she didn't fall off.

Holiday weekend

We spent the holiday weekend in Downingtown. It was fun and busy. We had to leave early on Sunday so we could stop at Jennifer's then to Pap's camp and then home for me to work.

While we were there we dropped Valerie off for her Vacation with the Huch's. She is off to Iowa to visit Aunt Kim and Uncle Bobby then to Chicago for a family reunion. When she comes home she will go to the Outer Banks and then to Avalon on vacation with us. She sure does get to travel a lot.

I didn't take to many photos of this weekend, but I will share what I did take.

Austin played with Benjamin in the pool on Saturday afternoon, which I do have pictures of but not sure if it is ok to post them. They did have great fun, especially when Beam joined in on the fun.

After the race at night we went back to the Good neighbor day festives so the kids could do rides and watch the fireworks. I don't think we have ever been to a more expensive carnival. It was 13 tickets for $15. Rides were mostly 3-4 tickets per, 1 was 2 tickets.

Valerie was to fast I couldn't get her coming down

Austin first time on a big slide by himself, I was very nervous

Dress up

*I have to post that the slide company is letting us keep the old slid and sending us a new one. I just felt I had to share since I shared how unhappy we all were with it. You never really hear when something good happens.*

I'm not sure how to start this post, I think I will let the pictures just speak for them selves.

He let her do this to him for a good half hour, before he wanted a turn to make her over. Daddy handled it pretty well.

In Austins defense I always call Rob my little metro sexual, so he comes by it honestly!
