A visit to the Jacksonville Zoo

When we lived in Pennsylvania we did a trip to the Zoo every Mothers day.  It was a nice tradition that we did not carry on here in Jacksonville.  I had been wanted to go, so when the Zoo put on a special buy 1 get 1 for admission on July 4th we went.

It was pretty big, we didn't even get to all the exhibits.  It's a little different in you have to pay extra to see some exhibits once you get it.  I didn't like that much as we paid over $50. to get into a Zoo with a buy 1 get 1 special.  I felt everything should have been included. 

It was a good time in all.  Savannah had a little melt down at one of the exhibits.  I took each of them binoculars.  You see going to the Zoo in the Summer in Jacksonville, it's a good change the animals will be hiding because it's too hot to do anything else.  So she was using them and dropped them in the pen.  It took us forever to find someone and let them know.  Savannah was very upset about this pretty much the entire time.  But at the exit they had her binoculars waiting for her.

 This picture was kinda sweet...Austin was trying to show Savannah an animal she couldn't see.

 Valerie really liked this Kangaroo with he large muscles.
